Hammerdal is represented by Grenåskilen, Crustal's REE-focused project in Jämtland. The project is based on documented observations of rare earth elements, yttrium and thorium-related gamma radiation.
The exploration interest in Grenåskilen is based on elevated levels of rare earth elements in till samples, elevated yttrium content in stream peat and an area with high gamma radiation from thorium. This provides the project with a clear technical starting point for continued follow-up.
Crustal's working model in Hammerdal is to follow up on these observations in the field through boulder tracing and instrument-based verification with a gamma spectrometer and pXRF. The work is focused on improving the understanding of Grenåskilen as an REE project and building a more robust foundation for continued exploration.
